On materials, and why they matter.

The first question we ask of any product is: what is it made of? Material decides how a thing ages, how it repairs, and how long it stays with you.

This is why we favour natural fibres, solid leathers, and metals that develop a patina. It is also why we avoid plastics where a natural alternative exists.
